Globalisation and rapid changes in the global economy have created a challenging environment that demands flexibility and innovation in business. Business decisions in the tourism industry, aimed at increasing competitiveness and achieving sustainable growth, depend on a thorough understanding of market trends and customer needs. Managing business processes in tourism requires a combination of financial analysis, strategic planning, and creative solutions to ensure high-quality services and guest satisfaction. The tourism industry requires high standards of expertise and competence among employees to effectively record, monitor, report, analyse and predict all activities. Formal education through undergraduate studies in Tourism lays the foundation for acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge and skills essential for the tourism business, in both the private and public sectors. Furthermore, the curriculum enables students to acquire additional, diverse knowledge that, while not directly related to tourism jobs, is significant for the functioning of other business processes within a company. The focus is on educating employees to be professional, responsible, reliable, flexible and ready for continuous learning throughout their careers. Students familiarise themselves with the entire tourism process while concurrently following theoretical and practical components of the curriculum at the institution and undertaking internships in entities across the private and public sectors. Consequently, they achieve professionalism and a seamless adaptation to the work process upon completing their studies.
