Committee for Higher Education Monitoring and Quality Assurance

The Committee for Higher Education Monitoring and Quality Assurance is an expert advisory body which consolidates and guides all quality-related activities. The Committee has the autonomy to modify quality assurance protocols to align with the Faculty’s requirements.

The Committee organises, coordinates and performs evaluation processes and develops internal mechanisms to ensure, improve and promote quality at the Faculty. These procedures encompass the following elements:

  • self-analysis
  • defining and developing quality indicators
  • student participation in monitoring the quality of study programme implementation
  • involvement of course participants in monitoring the quality of lifelong learning programme implementation
  • researching the causes of poor, inefficient and prolonged study periods and the success of studying
  • researching the attendance success of lifelong learning programmes
  • analysing and selecting evaluation procedures for the competence of academic staff
  • ensuring and monitoring the professional development of academic staff (lifelong learning)
  • ensuring and monitoring the professional development of administrative, professional and technical staff
  • analysing and monitoring teaching improvement indicators
  • evaluating the quality of general and specific competencies attained through the study programme
  • evaluating the quality of competencies attained through lifelong learning programmes
  • determining and introducing mandatory standardised protocols for administrative activities
  • evaluating reports on the teaching implementation and providing feedback to academic staff
  • evaluating comments and suggestions from internal and external stakeholders of the system
  • evaluating the quality of scientific work and research activities
