Erasmus + Staff Mobility for Training Portugal – Report

From October 7 to 11, 2024, within the framework of Erasmus+ staff mobility for the purpose of training Antonija Marinclin, dipl. knjiž., doc. dr. sc. Josip Mesić and Ivana Mikić, univ. mag. oec. They visited the School of Hospitality and Tourism, the Polytechnic in Porto in Portugal, the new partner institution of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega. This visit marked the beginning of a promising international cooperation between the two institutions, fostering a sense of optimism and excitement for future collaborations.


As part of the mobility, a tour of Campus 2 (Library, Office for International Cooperation and training facilities for students, research centres and other services) located in Vila do Conde, introduction to the employees and work organization, and a meeting related to Erasmus+ cooperation was organized. Collaboration on different projects with the institutional Erasmus+ coordinator Marta Ferreira Vidal and professors Sandra Viera Vasconcelos, Dalia Filipa Veloso de Azevedo Liberto and Monica Pereira de Oliveria. The meeting agreed to the outbound mobility of students for professional practice for students.


As part of the visit activities, a meeting was held with students in the Enology course, where doc. dr. Josip Mesić presented Croatian wines. After that, mobility opportunities at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega were presented to the students.


A cruise on the Douro River, a visit to a local winery and other cultural events were also organized.
