Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching – Telavi, Georgia

From 24 to 28 March 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Mirjana Radman-Funarić visited the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law at Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Telavi, Georgia, a partner institution of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega. As part of the mobility, a meeting was organised on the university premises, during which the current and future cooperation with the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Pozega was discussed. The emphasis is on further Erasmus+ collaboration in the field of teaching and professional development. The possibilities of cooperation in other projects were also discussed. The J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek and the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega were presented on this occasion. Mirjana Radman-Funarić lectured students on the topic of Social Capital and Economic Growth, emphasising comparing indicators in Croatia and Georgia. The meeting and lectures were attended by Maka Kochauri, coordinator of the University's Office for International Cooperation and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof. Tamar Tamarashvili, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Nana Rinkiashvili, Program Manager. In addition to the official part of the stay, classes, and meetings, a tour of various cultural and historical sites in Telavi, gastronomic offerings, and leading producers of high-quality Georgian wines was organised.
