Presentation of University Studies and Academic Wines of the Golden Valley on the Occasion of Statehood Day in Budapest

The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, in the presence of numerous ambassadors and diplomats, representatives of public life in Hungary, as well as members of the Croatian community, marked Statehood Day by presenting the exhibition “In the Everlasting Flux” from the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb. The event took place at the HAB – Hungarian Art and Business contemporary art gallery in Budapest on May 28, 2025. The musical ambiance was provided by Croatian pianist Ana Šostar.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Dr. Mladen Andrlić, emphasized:

“The ties between Croatia and Hungary are deeply rooted in European history and interpersonal relations, as well as in the highest standards of mutual minority protection. With mutual respect and constructive dialogue, we will continue together – our countries will remain safe and prosperous, and our alliances even stronger.”

This was also the central event in Hungary marking the Statehood Day of the Republic of Croatia, alongside celebrations by the Consulate General of Croatia in Pécs and the Croatian Consulate in Nagykanizsa.

The exhibition “In the Everlasting Flux”, featuring some of the finest examples of Croatian modern art, will remain open until June 29, 2025. The project was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Zagreb, and the Croatian National Tourist Board, in partnership with the companies GDI, Orbico, Podravka, Vinum Academicum d.o.o., and Zavičaj.

As part of the event, Vice Dean for Development and Business, Berislav Andrlić, presented the study programs of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development at a promotional stand, accompanied by a tasting of Academic Wines of the Golden Valley (Graševina Academia, Chardonnay, Yellow Muscat, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon).
