The Vice-Dean for Development and Business of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega, Berislav Andrlić, and the Vice-Dean for Science and International Cooperation, Marko Šostar, paid a working and study visit to the Faculty of Economics in Uzhhorod, Ukraine.
During the visit, working meetings were held with the aim of arranging the arrival of students for Erasmus mobility in Požega in the summer semester, as well as continuing cooperation in the co-organization of the 10th International Scientific Conference Vallis Aurea. The two faculties are long-standing partners and have been continuously developing successful academic and scientific cooperation.
The hosts of the meeting were Dean Prof. Vitalii Herzanich, PhD, and Vice-Dean Prof. Volodymyr Andrishyn, PhD, together with professors from the Department of Economics, who actively participated in discussions on future joint activities, student exchanges, and scientific projects.
As part of the visit, a tour of the company “Krayna”, a well-known producer of bottled natural water from the Zakarpattia region, was also organized. On this occasion, a meeting was held with students who will participate in classes at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega during the summer semester. The company’s operations and business activities were presented, and the host of the meeting was Rostyslav Volodymyrovych Yarema, the owner and the person responsible for production, logistics, and finance of the company.
This visit further strengthened international cooperation between the partner institutions, opened new opportunities for student mobility, knowledge exchange, and joint scientific activities in the field of tourism, and confirmed the importance of connecting the academic community with the business sector. The agreed activities represent a significant contribution to the internationalization of study programs and to strengthening the international visibility of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega.
