Successful Erasmus+ Mobility of Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development Representatives in Portugal

Representatives of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega participated in an Erasmus+ mobility program held from April 13 to 17, 2026, at the School of Hospitality and Tourism in Vila do Conde, Portugal. The mobility was conducted for the purpose of professional training through a job-shadowing program, continuing the steady strengthening of our Faculty's international cooperation. Representing the Faculty were Ariana Ergović, univ. mag. oec., and Sunčana Včelik, univ. mag. ing. techn. aliment.

The hosts of the meeting, Marta Ferreira Vidal and Sandra Vasconcelos, warmly welcomed our representatives and guided them through the institution's infrastructure and teaching resources. Special emphasis was placed on practical training and specialized hospitality training grounds. During the visit, the representatives had the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the work of the host students, who independently prepared and served meals as part of their exercises, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and authentic Portuguese hospitality.

In addition to exchanging experiences with international colleagues, the stay in Vila do Conde served as an excellent platform for learning about innovative methods in tourism education and the organization of student activities. Direct insight into examples of best practices at European institutions is of exceptional importance for the further development of study programs and the improvement of our Faculty's quality of work.

Such activities further strengthen the international network of the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development, contribute to professional development, and ensure the successful integration of our institution into the modern European educational space.
