Erasmus+ mobility report - Melike, University of Ordu, Turkiye

I went to Croatia for 5 months. I went to this country for my Erasmus mobility. I’m feeling happy because I chose Croatia. I love it there. Also, I recommended it to my Turkish friends. My Faculty is in Požega, and it’s a small town in Croatia. I met too many friends in there. They were so hospitable and kind. Generally, the Croatian people are so positive, funny and kind. My friends and my professors helped me with everything. Sometimes I stayed at my friend's home and met their family. They were so nice to me. I tried Croatian food, soup and meat, it was delicious.

When I was in Croatia, the first day I was anxious because it was a new country and a new experience, but my Erasmus buddy Luka and my coordinator Ivana helped me. Not just for one day; every time I need help, my friends and my professors help me. If I have a problem, they always solve it for me.

Now I have good memories of Požega and my Faculty. I don’t regret it choosing Croatia, on the contrary, I’m happy. Thanks to my friends, I even learned some Croatian words. Our culture and language have some similarities, which is why I didn’t feel strange when I was in Požega. Suppose I have another chance again, I choose Požega. I am grateful for everything.
